Where is the proposed facility going to be located?
Land has yet to be purchased. The goal is to obtain land within 15
minutes of South East Rochester. The facility
will be constructed as soon as enough money has been raised.
If I contribute money to the RREC, how will my contribution
be used?
Every contribution is important. Financial contributions are one
way to insure that the facility will be built in a timely manner.
All of your contribution will be used to promote the goals of the
RREC and/or used in the building fund. Remember, according to law, all monetary
contributions are tax deductible. Some potential contributors may
prefer to contribute their time to the project as a volunteer on
fundraising, grant writing, or marketing committees.
If I donate a horse to the RREC, how will it be used?
At this point, all horses donated to the program are sold. The money
from the sale is put into the program for future use. (See your tax
professional about tax deductions for your gift)
When will the facility be finished?
RREC will secure land and building Phase I just as soon as enough
money is raised. The approximate cost is $1.4 million.
What type of facility is being planned?
The equestrian center will consist of a 50-stall barn,
indoor and outdoor arenas, turn-out space, classrooms, 400 stall
barn, with tack storage, for show guests, restrooms, cafeteria,
horse bathing area, and possibly retail store space.
How else will this facility be used?
The facility will be available for use by other venues. This could
include beef/dairy shows, dog/cat shows, or any other group that
needs a large show facility
How do you see this affecting my current horse business?
RREC will compliment your horse business. This facility will be open
to the public during specific hours and will host horse shows and/or
clinics on the weekends. Every effort will be made to make this an
extremely affordable facility for you, your boarders, your students,
or yourself to school your horse and hold your own show or clinic.
Do you need help?
Yes! Help is always needed and appreciated. If there is a special activity of the RREC that you would be interested in,
please contact a board member.
